Our new nephew Creed Cowley Mendenhall
This handsome guy was born August 10th. We got to meet him for the first time this past week. Scott's older sister Erin and her husband are living in Springfield, Illinios while Shaun does his residency. We miss having them so close. While they were here we were able to celebrate Erin's birthday and have Creed's baby blessing at our home.

Having people over to our house was exactly the motivation we needed to finally hang up our paintings and curtains. The day before the party we got our entry way put together. My mom found a great deal on a brown rug that fit the entry way perfectly and we were able to use our credit at Down East to purchase the table. The painting I bought in Venice was the first to be hung. All the Halloween decor was thanks to my wonderful mom. She waits until the end of the season to get the sale price. So smart. We're starting to feel settled. Now we just need to finish up the nursery:)
